He has seven Cup championships (tied for most all-time), 200 Cup wins (most all-time), 123 Cup poles (most all-time), 27 wins in one season (1967, most all-time), 1,027 career starts (most all-time) 10 consecutive wins (1967, most all-time), seven-time Daytona 500 winner (most all-time).

Short Take: Mark Martin

Mark Martin has won 49 Cup poles, tying him for eighth on the all-time list with Bobby Isaac. He won a series-high seven last year and began the season on the pole for the Daytona 500. This week’s race is at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and as the chart shows, it is one of seven tracks (six active) in the Cup series at which Martin has not won a pole since he debuted as a 22-year-old at North Wilkesboro in 1981.
